Sophie Müller

Sophie Müller (1803–1830) was an actress at the Vienna Burgtheater.

Hegel saw her perform during his trip to Vienna in 1824 and commented on the performances in letters to his wife. The trip is one of the few occasions on which his judgment of the actor’s art has been preserved — unlike painting and music, on which he spoke at length in his lectures.
