Johannes Müller

Johannes Müller (1801–1858) became an associate professor of physiology in Bonn in 1826 and moved to Berlin in 1833.

He founded experimental physiology in Germany. In Berlin, he taught alongside Hegel; his path from romantic philosophy of nature to measurement stands for the upheaval that Hegel’s philosophy of nature no longer lived to see.
