Mathematics

The science of quantity (Ch. 2). Hegel does not criticize mathematics as false, but as one-sided: it treats quantity (an abstract determination) and remains stuck in external comparison (understanding), without progressing to the concept (reason) (Ch. 1.2, 2.3).
