Unfolding

Unfolding is the unwinding of what was already "enfolded" (implicit). The concept unfolds itself: what is in itself becomes for itself. Example: the seed contains the tree implicitly, unfolding makes it explicit. In logic: all categories are "enfolded" in being, development unfolds them. No creation from nothing, but explication. Unfolding is not mechanical-automatic, but dialectical-contradictory. The end was at the beginning, but as potency — unfolding is its realization.
